About the Festival

The Camborne Music Festival is a cherished annual event held each November at the Camborne Centenary Methodist Church, located at 70 Centenary Street, Camborne, TR14 8HS. Founded in 1970, the festival succeeded the original Wesley Eisteddfod and has since become a cornerstone of Cornwall's cultural calendar. As a registered charity (No. 1043128), it is organized by a dedicated team of volunteers committed to providing a platform for amateur musicians and performers from Cornwall and the South West. The festival offers entrants of all ages the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of classes, ranging from vocal and instrumental performances to composition and handbells. With over 150 classes listed in the syllabus, participants benefit from invaluable performing experience and receive constructive feedback from experienced adjudicators. The event is renowned for its friendly atmosphere, earning it the affectionate title of “The Friendly Festival.”

Originally constructed to accommodate the growing Wesleyan congregation, the church features a spacious interior suitable for large gatherings and performances. The church is centrally located, just a short walk from the town's main car parks, making it easily accessible for attendees.
